It’s time to open our PIGGY BANK
for another DEPOSIT from Angela of…

I am so excited to share Angela’s party with you because I had never “met” Angela before I received her email. I’m so glad she was willing to deposit this party to our Piggy Bank! Here’s what Angela had to say about her party…

My name is Angela Shafer and I designed this baby shower for a friend of mine. Everything from the diaper cakes to the little tags to everything on the dessert table was made by my company, Invites & more…by Angela. The only exception were the cookies which were made by Kara’s Konfections.

I think Angela created a bright and beautiful baby shower! I love the cozy couch surrounded by presents, the onesies hung at the entrance, the diaper tricycle and the pashmina scarfs! Did you see the colorful wraps around the chair backs? They’re pashmina scarfs which doubled as favors. So clever!

I wanted to get to know Angela a bit better. Here’s my lil’ interview with her…

Do you do this as a full- or part-time job or is it just for fun? I do this part-time and for fun. I just love it. Designing a party from invitation down to the favor and seeing it all come together just makes me happy.

If a business, how long have you been in business? I have been doing this almost 5 years.

How did you get started? I started by planning my twin girls baptism and it kind of steam rolled from there.

What penny pinching ideas/tips went into your event? The white dishes I used were either my own or borrowed from friends instead of renting and the shooter glasses on the dessert table were actually candle votives–much cheaper! I used the pashmina scarfs as chair covers/decorations and they doubled as favors. Although it might not be a money saver, I love diaper cakes as centerpieces for baby showers! I feel like it is giving another gift to the Mommy-to-be. This Mommy was walking away with 1 case of size ones and 1 case of size twos…enough to get her started!

I hope your INSPIRED by Angela’s party.
I’m inspired by the lime, lavender and chocolate palette!
I wish I had one of those caramel apples right now!

Stay tuned to Oink! for more inspiration…
