It’s time for our latest edition of…

Today and throughout this week, the Crew will be sharing a secret project we’ve been working on in honor of Valentine’s Day. It’s our very first Crew Collaboration—”A Vintage Valentine!” What’s so silly about that? Instead of showing you the finished product at the beginning, we’re going to show you all of the projects first! You get an all-access pass behind the scenes of creating a cohesive soirée with NINE collaborators!

After a brainstorming session, the Crew decided to use our Vintage Valentines Collection {coming soon to The Market}. Here are a few of the items they received to use as inspiration for our collaboration…

We’ll share more of the collection throughout the week but let’s get started with our first collaboratin’ Crew member, Dorothy!

I created a Vintage Paper Chain in the style that I made in my classroom. I used the narrow version of the Vintage Valentines Paper— printed double-sided—and doily table placemats (9 3/4′ x 14″). I cut the striped paper and doily placemats into 1″ x 7″ pieces.

Using a gluestick, the ends were looped through the previous strip and the ends glued to form chain links. This chain is 10 feet in length.

Mini chair banners were made by printing all the letters needed from the Heart Banner to spell out each guest’s name.

I hand cut out each letter then using a slotted paper punch, I made a hole on each side of the heart for the grosgrain ribbon to be threaded through.

The ribbon can be cut to length for your particular chair back. This is a great personal greeting for your lil’ guests and no fighting over who sits where!

The medallion was made from 3 sheets each of narrow striped paper from the Vintage Valentines Collection.

Trim white edges*, accordion fold each piece then fold in half.

*{NOTE}: If you choose “borderless printing,” there will not be a white edge to trim.

Glue the middle of the fan shape together and repeat for each piece of paper.

Next, glue all three fan sections together to form the medallion.

I glued a Vintage Valentine from the collection onto a medium sized red doily heart. Each doily Valentine was then attached to the center of each medallion with adhesive dots.

Voila! Vintage Valentines are my favorites!
