2012: the year of the pig

It’s hard to believe that it’s the last day of 2012. Wow! It seems that time passes quicker and quicker the older I get. Before we close the book on another year though, I thought it would be fun to look back at all of the parties this lil’ piggy shared with you this past year.

You can click on the photo or the name of the party to read all of the details. Ready? Fasten your seat belts ‘cuz it’s going to be a wild ride!

A Vintage Valentine

Our first party of the year was a collaboration with the entire Piggy Bank Parties Crew—Aimee, Cineca, Dorothy, Jenny, Maria, Mariah, Mayra and Tara. It was an honor to style the amazing creations of these talented ladies!

An Ocean Full of Wishes

An inspiration party based on a custom collection created for GreyGrey Designs.

Burgers-n-Fries…Order Up!

A burger bash inspired by a custom design for GreyGrey Designs.

Bananas for You, Baby!

Inspired by bananas and a collection custom designed for Superchick Studios.

Tulip, the Ballerina

A tippy-toed piggy ballerina inspired this soireé and a spunky 3-year-old-to-be inspired the custom collection created for Love & Sugar Kisses.

Not Too Shabby Tea Party

Inspired by a custom collection designed for Truly Chic Inspiration.

Pigs Love Mud Pies

Inspired by a gift collection created for Giggles Galore.

Picnicking with Elephants

A {real life} birthday party inspired by my dear friend, Kelly’s, love of elephants.

Let’s Fiesta!

A custom collection created for GreyGrey Designs inspired a {real life} family fiesta.

Audrey is a Classic

Celebrating the 80th birthday of this lil’ piggy’s mom with classic sweets and treats.

The Piggy Bank Parties Crew Head-to-Head Team Challenge divided our Crew into two teams. They were given our Barnyard Buddies Collection as inspiration and they created two brilliant parties!

Picture Your Future

We created this photogenic graduation party for our first magazine feature in Tots to Teens Magazine.

We Love You, Sugar Daddy

Our inspiration celebration was inspired by a custom collection we created for GreyGrey Designs’ feature in Tots to Teens Magazine.

Just BEE-cause

Our lil’ party was inspired by a custom collection we designed for Giggles Galore.

Aloha 50!

Our family created a Hawaiian-themed destination for my sister, Nora’s, 50th birthday.

Game Day: Indoor Tailgating

We tailgated indoors after being inspired by a custom design we created for a tailgating-themed 40th birthday party.

A Magical Celebration

The banner was originally created for our “Trunk or Treat” decorations one Halloween. After an invitation to contribute to Bird’s Party Magazine, we magically turned it into a budget-friendly feature and a full-time gig as a contributor.

A Lumberjack’s Birthday

Our second feature in Bird’s Party Magazine inspired by a plaid blanket and my love of log cabins.

The TwELF Days of Christmas

The name was inspired by a typo and the series was inspired by the classic Christmas song. Of course, this lil’ piggy had to put her own spin on it!

A Last Minute Birthday

A {real life} celebration inspired by the chaos of real life.

I am in awe of the year we’ve had. I love looking back over the past year and remembering all of the amazing parties we were blessed to create and the wonderful clients we’ve worked with! It wipes away any doubt I might have in the career path I’ve chosen. A special thank you to all who have inspired us this year!

I hope you’re inspired.
