Let’s get the party started ‘cuz it’s…

This week is very exciting for me. First, it’s the first week of “NO-bruary” around the PiG PeN. NO-bruary? If you’re a new fan then you may not know that this lil’ piggy is moving to Georgia in FOUR weeks. Yes, the countdown is down to 28-ish days and I haven’t packed a single box in the past 4 weeks! I promised the hubs that I would say, “NO!” to any new projects starting February 1st until the house was packed up.

Next, one of the projects we just finished up was a re-design of our Lil’ Hoots Harvest Collection for Mariah of Giggles Galore. In the fall, Mariah asked us to tweak a collection we had in the archives to coordinate with some clothes she had purchased for her kiddos. You can see the party and inspiration here.

Mariah asked us to change the colors and theme for her upcoming Valentine’s Day Party. She graciously allowed us to share the collection with you before the party so you can celebrate with the Lil’ Hoots, too!

This sweet Lil’ Hoots Valentine Collection includes a fun striped banner which we hung on twine with dyed mini clothespins for our lil’ party.

I embellished the backdrop with a paper heart garland using coordinating papers from my “scrap” drawer. This is one of three easy garland techniques I recently shared here.

I filled recycled coffee drink bottles with Ice Blue Raspberry Lemonade Kool-Aid and wrapped them with labels I made using the collection’s coordinating papers.

“Create-Your-Own” Party Cards were used as food labels and simple cupcakes were adorned with Lil’ Party Tags on wooden food stakes and a Red Hot. The cupcake wrappers were a prize I won a couple of years ago from Decorated Elements and matched the collection perfectly.

I’m really into keeping the food at parties simple. Cupcakes and Kool-Aid would make most of the kids (…and adults!) I know extremely happy! In my opinion, a party is about having fun with family and friends…so why not focus on creating party games and activities versus filling a table with an excessive amount of treats? Don’t get me wrong…I LOVE treats. Every single one of them. BUT…I love giggles more. A memory of a good time lasts longer than a sugar rush!

If you feel like your buffet is a bit empty, use favors to fill in an open space.

WHOO wouldn’t love these cute Valentine Owl Lollipop Favor Boxes? They are fun and functional!

Tie on a Favor Tag from the collection and…Ta-Da! A HOOT-tiful favor to show your love!

The collection also includes Party Signs and a Menu/Invitation you can personalize yourself using Adobe Reader.

The Lil’ Hoots Valentine Collection is now available in The Market. You can purchase it here for $15.00.

Can things get any more exciting than packing up the PiG PeN and throwing a Valentine’s party? The answer…YES! Tomorrow we are launching a brand new product line that puts a lil’ extra squiggle in my curly-tailed wiggle! Be sure to stop by tomorrow to celebrate with us!

I hope you’re inspired to share a lil’ love with your flock!
