Do & J Driver

We are the creative directors and owners of Piggy Bank Parties. As a creative duo (aka Team Driver), it has been our dream to create a place where we could help people plan and execute easy, fun and memorable parties on a Piggy Bank budget. Our motto is…a little piggy bank + a little inspiration = a Piggy Bank Party!Do is our lead designer, event planner and stylist, marketing manager, editor and head writer of Oink! and all-around top pig! I have always loved handcrafting cards for family and friends using whatever supplies were readily available–construction paper, glue, tape, scissors, crayons and markers.I have a B.A. in Music and Communications and my background includes corporate and social event planning, invitation and stationery design, hand and digital calligraphy, logo and custom artwork design and photo styling.

J is our lead artist, photographer, webmaster and the real man behind the pig! J was a silent partner in the beginning until he realized the corporate world no longer inspired him. During his quest to discover a new direction for his life, he signed up for a drawing class and I discovered the most amazing artist was sitting right across the work table from me.J has a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering and his background includes software development and website design, invitation and partyware design, logo and custom artwork design and book cover illustrations.

We also own Piggy Bank Parties’ parent company, Autumn Writings: Digital Calligraphy & Stationery for All Seasons, which we started in 2000. The Piggy Bank Parties’ printable division launched in 2010 as a way to offer our custom designs at affordable prices. We have dreamt of helping people create memorable celebrations. Celebrations that reflect the person not the image. Celebrations that are over the top without being over the budget. It’s taken a number of years for our dreams to come true but Piggy Bank Parties is a reality.

{break for a Happy Dance!}

Our work has been featured on Hostess with the Mostess, Pizzazzerie, Celebrations at Home, Kara’s Party Ideas, Catch My Party…and Oink! to name a few. We look forward to sharing our ideas, tips and tricks with you as we all take this lil’ adventure together!

Jenny Dixon I am Jenny Dixon of Crossing the Bugger-Dixon Line. I am an Etsy loving, Pinterest pinning, Boston native who now lives in the country. I prefer all things to be homemade except when it involves me cooking in the kitchen. I have a masters in Counselor Education and worked as a college recruitment coordinator before having children. I am now a stay at home mom and the official party planner of two bugger boys, ages 3 and 5. I believe in celebrating all big and small special moments in life and throw LOTS of parties. With each party, I put myself on a budget and get resourceful by upcycling and reusing party goods. I strive to share simple, practical and budget friendly ideas that will keep you celebrating well and often!

Cineca Newburn I’m a wife, a mommy, a dreamer and a lover of music, traveling and food. In August of 2010, I quit my full-time job and started Dreamin’ N Details, Event Planning. I love celebrating the important moments and people in life. This business has allowed me the opportunity to spend as much time as possible with my little munchkin while still following my passion for parties. I specialize in weddings, showers, birthdays and fundraisers. I have a bit (ok, a LOT) of OCD and absolutley love the process of planning, organizing and designing special, unique and memorable events for my clients.

dorothy tarolli contributing writer
Dorothy Tarolli I am a retired elementary teacher who loves Michigan history and sharing inexpensive ways for people to travel in Michigan. My blog, “Life is Sweet in Michigan” is co-written by my mom, Audrey, and sister, Nora, and the three of us have planned and decorated for a variety of parties and social events. Since both my mother and I were teachers, we have lots of crafty projects in our bag of tricks which can be adapted for parties that all ages will enjoy. I hosted the first “official” Piggy Bank Parties event in Michigan and have been a part of the PBP Crew for a few years now. Did I mention that Do is my little sis and she’s very good at recruiting?!? We look forward to sharing our ideas and recipes with you as we take you to some exciting destinations in the Great Lakes State!
